Flambe, Chang & Chinese Jade Marks
Royal Doulton flambe came from the burslem factories , while almost all of it had the the crown and lion backstamp some of the smaller pieces were marked in printed form Royal Doulton with the word flambe underneath.
Some early pieces are dated with the date code beside the backstamp (upper right hand side of backstamp ), starting with 1927 being 1, add the number to this date to get the year it was made. ( see sung mark below as it has the date coed of 20 making it made in 1947. )
Later pieces will just have the crown and lion backstamp , no extra words or marks.
