Pattern Numbers

The Following numbers indicate the approximate periods during which the patterns were first introduced , keep in mind these are on pieces of pottery and earthenware, not character jugs. There was sometimes an overlap in the numbering system for the end of one year and the beginning of another. Almost all the pieces will carry an additional trademark backstamp as well. i.e. like a crown and lion backstamp. 

Just like in figurines the small number on the top right side of a crown and lion backstamp will indicate a year date. Theses dates begin with 1 for 1927 , thus a 15 would indicate a date of 1942.
