Beswick Bulldog Champion Basford British Mascot 965

The large Beswick Bulldog, modelled by Arthur Gredington and produced from 1941 to 1990, is one of the most recognizable dog models Beswick made. He is modelled after the champion show dog Basford British Mascot. Gredington captured every classic bulldog trait: the broad, stocky frame, the deeply wrinkled face, the undershot jaw and the rose ears. He is finished in rich tan brindle and cream with a soft, natural shading through the coat, and his muzzle is hand-painted with fine dark whisker spots.

At 5.5 in tall, he is a sturdy, characterful display piece and a must for bulldog lovers and Beswick dog collectors alike.

Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs. Light crazing to the glaze, consistent with age.
