Art Pottery

Royal Doulton's Burslem factory produced some of the finest decorative pottery in Victorian and Edwardian England, and the pieces available here represent that tradition at its best. Working from their Staffordshire factory between the 1880s and 1910s, Doulton's Burslem decorating department employed skilled artists who hand-painted each piece individually, combining underglaze cobalt blue botanical subjects with elaborate gilded ornament on forms ranging from cabinet plates and biscuit barrels to ewers, vases and jugs.

The collection offered here spans both the pre-Royal Doulton Burslem England period — including a piece with a confirmed 1888 registration number — and the post-1902 Royal Doulton production, with named patterns including Arundel and Gloire de Dijon alongside artist-signed and individually decorated art pottery pieces. Every piece has been individually selected for condition, with mint and near-mint examples only.
