Royal Doulton Figurine King Arthur HN4541

King Arthur (HN4541) was modelled by Shane Ridge and issued by Royal Doulton in 2003 as part of the Prestige Men of History series, standing approximately 9.25 inches tall in a limited edition of 950 pieces. The Prestige range represented Royal Doulton's most ambitious figurative work — each piece handmade to order at the Burslem factory, with individual numbering and moulds broken once the edition was complete.

Ridge presents Arthur as the legendary High King of Britain in full medieval splendour — the figure commands the kind of physical authority that the Arthurian tradition demands, every detail of armour, regalia, and bearing rendered with the painstaking hand-decoration that defines the Prestige line. It is the kind of piece that takes months to produce and shows it.

With the edition ceiling at 950 and production now long closed, locating a numbered example in excellent condition has become a genuine exercise in patience.
