Royal Doulton Figurine Anthea HN1527

Sale price$750.00 CAD

Royal Doulton Figurine Anthea HN1527, designed by Leslie Harradine and produced from 1932 to 1940. She was made for less than a decade and her run was cut short by the war, so she is seldom seen today. She is a fine example of Harradine’s 1930s ladies, the figures that shaped the look of the HN collection.

Anthea wears a violet buttoned bodice over a tiered crinoline, painted in the rich, blended style of the period. The skirt shades from purple through pink to soft yellow at the hem. A floral shawl in pink, green and yellow, edged with a black fringe, is draped over her arms. She holds a furled red parasol at her side. A purple hat with a pink plume sits over her fair ringlets.

Height: 6.5 in (16.5 cm)
Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs.
