Royal Doulton Figurine Columbine HN1296

Sale price$650.00 CAD

Royal Doulton Figurine Columbine HN1296, designed by Leslie Harradine and produced from 1928 to 1940. Columbine is the sweetheart of the Harlequinade, the stage tradition that grew out of the commedia dell’arte. Harradine shows her as a playful 1920s dancer, full of Jazz Age charm.

She perches on a classical pedestal with her legs crossed, spreading the skirt of her pink tutu with both hands. The tutu is finely painted with fine ribbing in pink, shaded with lilac and edged in deep rose. A strapless pink bodice, bobbed blonde hair and red slippers complete the look.

Height: 6 in (15.2 cm)
Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs.
Slight crazing.
