Royal Doulton Figurine Columbine HN1439

Sale price$775.00 CAD

Royal Doulton Figurine Columbine HN1439, designed by Leslie Harradine and produced from 1930 to 1940. Columbine is the sweetheart of the Harlequinade, the stage tradition that grew out of the commedia dell’arte. Harradine shows her as a playful 1920s dancer, full of Jazz Age charm.

This colourway is one of the most vivid. Her tutu and strapless bodice are painted in a bold, blended floral pattern of pink, purple, deep blue, yellow and green. She perches on a pale green classical pedestal with her legs crossed, spreading her skirt with both hands, her bobbed blonde hair and pink slippers completing the look.

Height: 6 in (15.2 cm)
Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs.
