Royal Doulton Figurine Diana HN1986
Diana, a young lady in a red dress and bonnet, holding a posy of flowers. She was designed by Leslie Harradine, the modeller behind many of Royal Doulton’s best-loved early figures.
Harradine first created Diana in 1935, and the two pre-war colourways, HN1716 and HN1717, were withdrawn during the war. When figure production resumed in 1946, she was reissued as HN1986 in a new colourway, with her feet repositioned so she faces a different direction. This version stayed in production until 1975.
