Royal Doulton Figurine Haute Ensemble Set
Royal Doulton Haute Ensemble — Complete Set of Five Boudoir HN2542 · Eliza HN2543 · À la Mode HN2544 · Carmen HN2545 · Mantilla HN2712
The Haute Ensemble collection was designed by Eric J. Griffiths and introduced by Royal Doulton in 1974 as a deliberate departure from the company's established figurine tradition. Where the Pretty Ladies collection had long favoured compact, romantic poses, Griffiths conceived something entirely different — five tall, willowy women rendered with a fashion-forward sensibility that drew unmistakably on the world of haute couture. Standing at approximately 12 to 12.5 inches, these are among the most striking figurines Royal Doulton produced in the 1970s, and they remain unlike anything else in the HN series.
The Haute Ensemble was produced for just five years, from 1974 to 1979, and all five figures were discontinued simultaneously — making a complete matched set extraordinarily difficult to assemble today. Collectors who encounter a single piece consider themselves fortunate; finding all five together, intact and in excellent condition, is a genuinely rare event. The set is listed in the Charlton Standard Catalogue of Royal Doulton Figurines and is well documented among serious collectors.
This complete set of five is offered in excellent condition and will be packed individually with professional-grade materials using double-box technique. We ship worldwide.
