Priscilla M13, Royal Doulton Figurine

Sale price$199.95 CAD Regular price$225.00 CAD

Priscilla M13 was designed by Leslie Harradine and issued from 1932 to 1938 as part of Royal Doulton's M Series — the miniature lady figurines that distilled the grace of the full HN range into a format standing just 4 inches tall. The M Series emerged in 1932 when Royal Doulton began systematically renumbering its miniature bone china ladies, and Priscilla was among the earliest figures to receive the designation, with the full-size version in the HN range dating back to 1929.

At 4 inches, Priscilla is an elegant period lady in sweeping crinoline dress and bonnet — Harradine's signature vocabulary of flowing fabric, detailed costume, and refined facial modelling rendered at a scale that demands exceptional skill from the painter. The miniatures were produced to the same standard as their full-size counterparts, and the best examples show the same luminous colour and fine brushwork that made the HN ladies so sought after.

The six-year production window places M13 firmly in the pre-war Harradine era — a period that collectors and the market consistently regard as the most desirable chapter in Doulton's figurine history. Miniature Harradine ladies from this period are reliably difficult to find in undamaged condition given their scale and age, and Priscilla in particular draws interest from both M Series specialists and the broader Harradine collecting community.
