Royal Doulton Figurine The Lambeth Walk HN1881
Royal Doulton Lambeth Walk HN1881 is a scarce Art Deco figurine designed by Leslie Harradine, produced from 1938 to 1949. Standing approximately 10 inches tall, the piece captures a stylish lady in a floral hat and matching dress, named after the famous 1937 song from the musical Me and My Girl, made popular by Lupino Lane. The tune sparked a nationwide dance craze in Britain and gave this figurine its name.
Lambeth Walk is one of the more elusive HN numbers from the late 1930s, and examples in good condition are sought after by collectors of Doulton's Deco period. Its clean lines, bold hat silhouette, and period styling make it a standout piece from Harradine's catalogue.
