Royal Doulton Flambé Sung Vase Signed Fred Moore

A Royal Doulton Flambé Sung art pottery vase of bulbous ovoid form with a short collar neck, hand-signed with the FM monogram of Fred Moore, one of the principal Sung painters under Charles Noke, circa 1920s–1930s.

The deep oxblood red is shot through with peacock blue and indigo, with fiery red veining running down from the shoulder into a speckled, mottled lower body. As with every Sung piece, the glaze is unique to this vase.
