Royal Doulton Flambé Sung Vase Signed Fred Moore 4.5 Inch

A Royal Doulton Flambé Sung art pottery vase of bulbous ovoid form with a short collar neck. It is hand-signed with the FM monogram of Fred Moore, one of the principal Sung painters under Charles Noke, and dates to circa 1920s–1930s.

A rich oxblood red sweeps across the shoulder and gives way to peacock blue and violet. The lower body is mottled, with flecks of amber and gold running through it. Like every Sung piece, the glaze is unique to this vase.
